Satan and his evil angels try to do away with God’s people, but He protects His believing children and “seals” them from danger and destruction so they can reach their heavenly goal.

Revelation 7:1–8 (Listen)

The 144,000 of Israel Sealed

7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

  12,000 from the tribe of Judah were sealed,
  12,000 from the tribe of Reuben,
  12,000 from the tribe of Gad,
  12,000 from the tribe of Asher,
  12,000 from the tribe of Naphtali,
  12,000 from the tribe of Manasseh,
  12,000 from the tribe of Simeon,
  12,000 from the tribe of Levi,
  12,000 from the tribe of Issachar,
  12,000 from the tribe of Zebulun,
  12,000 from the tribe of Joseph,
  12,000 from the tribe of Benjamin were sealed.

     1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Hymn: WS 761 :
In You Is Gladness

Hymnary.org

1. In Thee is gladness

Amid all sadness,
Jesus, sunshine of my heart.

By Thee are given
The gifts of heaven,

Thou the true Redeemer art.
Our souls Thou wakest,

Our bonds Thou breakest;
Who trusts Thee surely

Has built securely;
He stands forever: Allelujah!

Our hearts are pining
To see Thy shining,

Dying or living
To Thee are cleaving;

Naught can us sever: Allelujah!

2. If He is ours,

We fear no powers,
Not of earth nor sin nor death.

He sees and blesses
In worst distresses;

He can change them with a breath.
Wherefore the story

Tell of His glory
With hearts and voices;

All heav’n rejoices
In Him for ever: Allelujah!

We shout for gladness,
Triumph o’er sadness,

Love Him and praise Him
And still shall raise Him

Glad hymns forever: Allelujah!
