Asaph presents the Lord as a mighty judge Who sees through the hypocrisy of insincere ritual. The Lord desires in His people true repentance and true faith in their Savior.

Paul and Timothy greet the believers of Philippi. Paul expresses his thankfulness for the Philippians and for their support of his mission work. The Lord has used the imprisonment of Paul for the advancement of the Gospel. Even when preachers preach with sinful motives, the Lord blesses the proclamation of His Word. Whether we live or whether we die, it is to our benefit and to the glory of the Lord.
