Today’s Bible Reading

The Lord will destroy Damascus, but will preserve a remnant of faithful people.

The Lord commands Abraham to offer Isaac as a burnt offering. Abraham is willing to obey the command of the Lord. The Lord stops Abraham from killing Isaac and provides a ram to be sacrificed in his place.

Sometimes an action that is not wrong in itself may be troubling to a Christian brother who is weak in faith or lacking in knowledge. The faithful believer desires to avoid exercising his Christian freedom in a way that will offend the weak.
