Today’s Bible Reading

A Judean travels to Moab where his two sons take Moabite wives, Orpah and Ruth. The man and his two sons die. Orpah returns to her people, but Ruth relocates to Bethlehem with her mother-in-law, Naomi.

Jesus feeds the four thousand. The Pharisees demand a sign from Jesus, but He gives them no sign. Jesus warns His disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. Jesus heals a blind man. Peter confesses that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus predicts His death and resurrection.

Abraham intercedes for the city of Sodom for the sake of his nephew, Lot. The Lord agrees not to destroy Sodom if ten residents are found to be righteous.
