The Sons of Korah consider the futility of wealth and of worldliness. The Lord, in contrast, delivers His faithful people from death.

When the Pharisees ask Jesus why His disciples eat with unwashed hands, Jesus exposes their hypocrisy—they neglect the commands of God while insisting that human traditions be observed. Jesus teaches that what comes out of a man defiles him, not what goes into him. Jesus drives the demon out of the daughter of a Syrophoenician woman and heals a deaf man.

Often in this world we see evil grow and we see the wicked thrive. Often in this world the faithful people of God suffer various hardships. The Lord sees all of it. In His own good time He will judge His enemies, and He will deliver His faithful people.
