Today’s Bible Reading

The people of Reuben and the people of Gad, who have a large number of livestock, request permission to settle east of the Jordan in the land of Gilead, which is ideal for livestock.

Mordecai appeals to Esther to go to the king and to request that he spare the Jews. Esther agrees, though it means risking her own life.
