Today’s Bible Reading

The Lord commands Moses to instruct the new generation of Israelites regarding offerings for the Feast of Trumpets, offerings for the Day of Atonement, and offerings for the Feast of Booths.

Jeremiah foretells the violent reaction to Christ’s birth (cf. Mt 2:16-18). The Good News was not (and still is not) received by the proud and self-seeking like Herod.
