Today’s Bible Reading

In this love song, the sons of Korah celebrate the marriage of a king and his bride. We see this psalm fulfilled in the reign of God, our King, and in the eternal kingdom that Christ has established. We, the church, are His holy bride.

The psalmist (David) expresses confidence in God’s love and in God’s ability to overcome his enemies (contrast this with Israel in the previous reading.)
