Today’s Bible Reading

Nehemiah lists priests and Levites who have come to Jerusalem, beginning with those who arrived with Zerubbabel and Jeshua about a century earlier (compare Ezra 2). The Judeans dedicate the wall of Jerusalem and organize the men who are to serve at the temple.

Sometimes believers experience feelings of sadness and even feelings of abandonment. Jesus Christ truly was abandoned by God on the cross. Through His sacrifice, we are the children of God. When we feel sad and abandoned, we may cry out to our loving Father, and He will hear us.
