Today’s Bible Reading

A Judean travels to Moab where his two sons take Moabite wives, Orpah and Ruth. The man and his two sons die. Orpah returns to her people, but Ruth relocates to Bethlehem with her mother-in-law, Naomi.

Moses commands the people to build an altar to the Lord on Mount Ebal. The Levites are to pronounce curses on those who are guilty of various iniquities and the people are to respond with their “Amen.”
