Today’s Bible Reading

The Lord promises to restore His people, Israel. The Lord will deliver His people from the oppression of Babylon, of Assyria, and of Philistia.

Because Jeremiah continues proclaiming the coming destruction of Jerusalem, he is cast into a cistern. Ebed- Melech rescues Jeremiah from the cistern. Jeremiah warns King Zedekiah to surrender to the Babylonians.
