Today’s Bible Reading

The Lord commands Moses to take vengeance on a group of Midianites who have seduced Israel to idolatry in the incident of Peor (Numbers 25). The Israelite army destroys and plunders the Midianites.

Samuel interceded for the people before God and the He answered, accepting their confession of sins and faithfully helping them against the Philistines.
