Today’s Bible Reading

The Lord commands Moses to take vengeance on a group of Midianites who have seduced Israel to idolatry in the incident of Peor (Numbers 25). The Israelite army destroys and plunders the Midianites.

Nations rise and fall, good and evil spirits oppose one another, but the people of God are reassured, “Don’t be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong!”
