Today’s Bible Reading

The Lord commands Moses to take vengeance on a group of Midianites who have seduced Israel to idolatry in the incident of Peor (Numbers 25). The Israelite army destroys and plunders the Midianites.

The Son of Man will be lifted up (on the cross) for all people, but to receive the benefits of that death one needs to be “born again,” that is brought to faith in Christ.
