Today’s Bible Reading

Solomon teaches, among other things, that justice is better than sacrifice, that to live on a roof is better than to live with a quarrelsome wife, and that those who oppose the way of the Lord will fail.

Solomon personifies wisdom. Beyond simply extolling wisdom as an abstraction, Solomon here describes Jesus Christ, Who is Wisdom incarnate, Who was present and active in the creation of the world.
