Today’s Bible Reading

Christmas lights are all around us. These lights remind us that Christ is the Light of the world. But they also remind us that God has called us to reflect the light of Christ. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”

Repent! When we confess our sins, and then find full relief in the Savior’s forgiveness, fruits of repentance will naturally follow. Our faith in Jesus is a living thing, which, seeks to correct what is amiss in our lives. All praise to the Holy Spirit for the fruit He produces in our lives.

Oh to have a “Mary” Christmas! A “Mary” Christmas is one in which we humbly confess our sinfulness, while rejoicing in God our Savior. When your focus is on the Mighty One who has done great things for you, then you will truly have a “Mary” Christmas!
