Nations rise and fall, good and evil spirits oppose one another, but the people of God are reassured, “Don’t be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong!”

Absalom was not only plotting against his father, but against the will of the Lord. He would not win (v. 14). Neither will we when we plot against God’s will.

The Lord comforted Daniel with another vision of the future. The vision has the same theme as the previous ones: through times of suffering and restoration, the Lord’s Church will always prevail.
