Even as citizens of the kingdom of God, believers remain citizens also of earthly kingdoms during this life. We are to obey the governing authorities with which God has blessed us.

The Lord sends Ezekiel as a watchman for Israel. The Lord desires not the death of the wicked, but that the wicked repent and live. Ezekiel prophesies destruction for Jerusalem as a result of the wickedness of the people.
