The Lord calls Jeremiah to serve as a prophet. The Lord commands Jeremiah to prophesy destruction for the people of Judah. The people will oppose Jeremiah, but the Lord will be with him.

Since they cannot answer whether the baptism of John was from heaven or from man, Jesus declines to answer their question. Jesus tells the parable of the two sons and the parable of the tenants.
