Trust not in horses and in chariots, but trust in the Lord. Trust not in idols made with human hands, but trust in the Lord.

The Lord judges His people for their reliance on Egypt for deliverance. This trust in human power is yet another act of rebellion against the Lord. The Lord Himself will deliver His people in His own good time.
