A time of great terror and abomination would befall the Jewish believers during the time of Antiochus Epiphanes (215-154 BC) between the Old and New Testaments.

These prophecies came to pass in connection with Alexander the Great and the aftermath of his downfall. When the tumultuous days arrived, believers knew that God saw them coming and was still in control.
