God revealed to Elisha things that would come to pass both good and bad. Elisha wept at the bad— as do we who know that dark days are ahead for the wicked.

With God there are no coincidences. The woman who left when the Lord’s Word indicated famine returned home and went to the king just as he “happened” to be learning about her.

Jonah repented of his sin and trusted the Lord to “bring him out of the pit.” Then he acknowledged that “salvation is from the LORD.” Now he had caught on to Epiphany!

Jonah wasn’t getting into the Epiphany spirit when he decided he didn’t want to preach to Ninevah. He would have to learn that God wants all to be saved.
