God intended that the priests should be His messengers, bringing His Word to the people. However, they failed to do this and had led the people into sin and spiritual danger.

The Son of God loved His disciples by forgiving their sins. Even Peter who had disowned Jesus was forgiven and sent out to shepherd Christ’s people. The risen Lord forgives!

Jesus teaches us that it’s not necessary to see Him in order to believe in Him. Again, it’s the Word of Christ that works in our hearts, not what we have seen or not seen.
